As part of Aberdeen City Libraries’ Robotics Fortnight, we are presenting a free, family-friendly screening of the 2005 animated film Robots at Central Library.

soundfestival: Sisters with Transistors (PG) film screening

Wednesday 22 October, 7pm at Aberdeen Science Centre, 179 Constitution Street, Aberdeen

Directed by Lisa Rovner, SISTERS WITH TRANSISTORS is the remarkable untold story of electronic music’s female pioneers, composers who embraced machines and their liberating technologies to utterly transform how we produce and listen to music today. The film maps a new history of electronic music through the visionary women whose radical experimentations with machines redefined the boundaries of music, including Daphne Oram, Pauline Oliveros, Delia Derbyshireand Eliane Radigue.
